This used to be a completely outdated place with eat-all-you-can oysters and lame jazz joint. It is now the nth restaurant run by the Costes brothers who lately started to develop their dodgy business in St Germain. Along with La Société, a higher-scale Costes classic, this is the second table by the Citizen Shame of Parisian gastronomy.
On the ground floor, the colourful design obviously glances towards the golden 80’s, yet a few awkward details remind of some unglamourous past. On the other hand, the private salon on the first floor is definitely an achievement with its big comfortable couches and sharp-design pool table. Otherwise, one could hardly think of the “spirit” of St Germain when passing this anonymous touristic dining room, where only a few local barflies managed to cling to the bar, close to the MC and the usual girl DJ.
