The Theodor hotel is located in the Hadar neighborhood, on Herzl Street, and is named after Theodor Herzl, "the Visionary of the State", who was born in Budapest on May 2nd 1860 and passed away on July 3rd 1904. Theodor left his mark on history by developing the concept of Political Zionism and by establishing Zionism as an institutionalized .Political and National Movement. Between the years 1897 (when the first congress assembly took place) and 1904, the Zionist Movement turned into a political and practical, a dynamic and significant movement. Herzl's ideas found an echo amongst the Jews of Europe, and reached Jewish Communities around the world. The Jewish masses' support of the ideas of Zionism brought about the waves of Aliyah (immigration to Israel), and ultimately enabled the Establishment of the State of Israel according to Herzl's visions.

As part of a wide hoteliers' vision, we created a unique accommodation experience for the hotel's guests. We followed the paths travelled by the words of Theodor, a Jewish writer, journalist, jurist, playwright and statesman. The forces of words are mightiest than every other weapon, and each word has the power to be engraved in memory for years.
